What is Calling Visa Application?
Under Indonesian immigration policy, citizens of restricted nations (including Afghanistan, Israel, North Korea, Liberia, Nigeria, and Somalia) cannot apply for standard electronic visas directly. A local sponsor must manually file a dossier at Central Immigration, which is then submitted to an Inter-Agency Security Vetting Committee consisting of immigration, intelligence, and diplomatic officers. This process requires physical submission and multiple representation visits.
Permitted Activities
Allowed activities are restricted to short-term entry for tourism, business meetings, or family visits depending on the approved visa index (C1 or D1). Daily employment or operational work is strictly prohibited.
