What is E32A Repatriation Visa (5 Years)?

The E32A Repatriation Visa (5 Years) is a self-sponsored limited stay permit granted to former Indonesian citizens (eks-WNI) who intend to resettle and reside in Indonesia. The permit is valid for an initial period of 5 years and may be extended, subject to a combined maximum stay of 10 years in Indonesia.

Allowed Activities

Holders may reside in Indonesia and engage in tourism, shopping, and visiting family or friends. Holders may also work, pursue education, or engage in other activities, provided such activities are reported to the immigration office that issued the permit. Family members may accompany the holder if they meet immigration requirements, and multiple entries and exits are permitted while the permit remains valid.

Sponsor Requirements

Period of Stay

The initial period of stay is up to 5 years. The permit may be extended online through evisa.imigrasi.go.id, provided the combined period of stay in Indonesia does not exceed 10 years. The visa itself is valid for 90 days from the date of issue for the purpose of entering Indonesia.

Visa Fees

Submission Requirements

• Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity before expiration)
• Immigration guarantee proof
• Bank statement or other financial capacity documentation
• Recent color photograph (within the last year)

Specific Requirements

Applicants must commit to a minimum investment of US$25,000 held in one of the following forms: Indonesian government bonds, shares of a publicly-listed Indonesian company, an Indonesian mutual fund, or a deposit at a state-owned bank. Proof of ownership or deposit must be submitted to the issuing immigration office within 90 days of entering Indonesia.

Other Provisions

Applicants are excluded if they are nationals of territories that were formerly part of Indonesia, previously served in a foreign government, military, law enforcement, or intelligence role, were involved in separatist movements, or acted against Indonesia's national interests. Holders must not overstay the granted period, engage in work inconsistent with the permit, or sell goods or services except as required by their reported activities. The Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) and Re-Entry Permit are issued automatically upon entry clearance at the Immigration Checkpoint.
