What is D12 Pre-Investment Visa?
The D12 visa is a multiple-entry visitor visa to Indonesia, with a maximum stay of 180 days per entry, calculated from the date of arrival. This visa can be extended for another 180 days but cannot be converted into a limited stay permit. Available in 1-year and 2-year validity options.

Period of Stay

You can extend this stay permit once for a total stay of up to 12 months (1 year) or 2 years, depending on the visa duration you choose. Stay permit extensions can be processed online by your sponsor through a registered account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id.

Submission Requirements
- Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity, 12 months for non-national passports)
- Bank statement (last 3 months, min USD 5000 or equivalent)
- Recent color photograph (from last year)
- Detailed curriculum vitae (CV)
- Travel plan (travel itinerary)

You must create an account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id before applying. All documents must be uploaded in electronic format. Note the higher bank statement requirement for this visa type.
Special Requirements
Letter of information, invitation or correspondence from a government agency or private institution explaining the relationship with the foreigner concerned. This letter should detail the pre-investment or business start-up activities you plan to conduct.
Other Provisions
Stateless foreigners and foreigners holding travel documents (not national passports) in the form of temporary passports, emergency passports, titre du voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, or other similar documents must attach a Re-Entry Permit document to the country where the Multiple Visa is applied for and a return ticket/onward ticket to another country (except for crew members of transportation equipment). The validity of the visa is calculated from the date of issuance. If it is not used after that period, the foreigner must apply for a new visa to be able to enter Indonesia. Foreigners with a stay permit from this visa are prohibited from selling goods or services or receiving compensation, wages, or the like for their work/business from individuals or corporations in Indonesia.
