What is C22A Academic Internship Visa?

With a C22A visa, you can undertake an internship at an educational institution, a company, or another place to fulfill an academic requirement of an overseas education program. This visa also allows you to travel and visit friends and family in Indonesia. Dengan visa C22A, Anda dapat melakukan pemagangan di institusi pendidikan, perusahaan, atau tempat lain untuk memenuhi persyaratan akademik pendidikan luar negeri. Termasuk dengan visa ini Anda dapat berwisata serta mengunjungi teman dan keluarga.

Allowed Activities / Aktivitas yang Diizinkan

Allowed: internship at an educational institution, company, or other place to fulfill an academic requirement of an overseas education program, tourism, and visiting friends and family. Not allowed: selling goods or services, or receiving payment, wages, or similar compensation for work performed for an individual or corporation in Indonesia. Diizinkan: pemagangan di institusi pendidikan, perusahaan, atau tempat lain untuk memenuhi persyaratan akademik pendidikan luar negeri, berwisata, dan mengunjungi teman serta keluarga. Dilarang: menjual barang atau jasa, atau menerima imbalan, upah, atau sejenisnya atas kerja/usaha dari perorangan atau korporasi di Indonesia.

Period of Stay / Masa Tinggal

You can stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 180 days, calculated from the date of arrival. This stay permit can be extended, with each extension granted for a period of 180 days from the expiration date of the previous stay permit, provided that the total length of stay in Indonesian territory does not exceed 12 (twelve) months. Anda dapat tinggal di Indonesia maksimal 180 hari, dihitung sejak tanggal kedatangan. Izin tinggal ini dapat diperpanjang dengan jangka waktu 180 hari setiap kali perpanjangan, terhitung sejak tanggal berakhirnya Izin Tinggal Kunjungan sebelumnya, dengan ketentuan keseluruhan masa tinggal di wilayah Indonesia tidak lebih dari 12 (dua belas) bulan.

Submission Requirements

• Application letter and letter of statement from the sponsor
• Valid travel document with at least 6 months of remaining validity before expiry (holders of a travel document other than a national passport, such as an emergency passport or identity document, must have at least 12 months of remaining validity)
• Proof of funds to cover living costs while in Indonesia - a bank statement for the last 3 months, in the name of the foreign national or the sponsor
• Recent color photograph (taken within the last year)

Specific Requirements / Persyaratan Khusus

An internship agreement letter, or a statement letter from the government agency or private institution organizing the internship program, confirming that the applicant will undertake the internship. Surat perjanjian pemagangan, atau surat keterangan dari instansi pemerintah atau lembaga swasta selaku penyelenggara kegiatan, yang menyatakan bahwa pemohon akan melaksanakan program pemagangan tersebut.

Other Provisions

Foreign nationals without nationality, and foreign nationals holding a travel document other than a national passport (such as a temporary passport, emergency passport, titre du voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, or similar document), must attach a Re-entry Permit for the country where the Visit Visa was applied for, along with a return ticket or onward ticket to another country (except for crew members of a means of transport). The visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. If not used within that period, the foreign national must apply for a new visa to enter Indonesia. Please note that the visa validity period is different from the stay permit period - please check your visa for information regarding the length of your stay permit. Foreign nationals holding a stay permit under the C22A Visa are prohibited from selling goods or services, or receiving payment, wages, or similar compensation for work or business activities from any individual or corporation in Indonesia.
