What is C22 Internship Visa?
With a C22 visa, you can undertake an internship to fulfill an academic requirement at an educational institution, intern at a company, or another institution. This visa also allows you to travel and visit friends and family in Indonesia.

Submission Requirements
- Application letter and letter of statement from the sponsor
- Valid travel document with at least 6 months of remaining validity before expiry (holders of a travel document other than a national passport, such as an emergency passport or identity document, must have at least 12 months of remaining validity)
- Proof of funds to cover living costs while in Indonesia - a personal bank statement for the last 3 months in the name of the foreign national, with a minimum balance of $2,000
- Recent color photograph (taken within the last year)
- Internship document from a government agency or private institution
All documents must be clear color scans.
Specific Requirements / Persyaratan Khusus
An internship agreement letter, or a statement letter from the government agency or private institution organizing the internship program, confirming that the applicant will undertake the internship. Surat perjanjian pemagangan, atau surat keterangan dari instansi pemerintah atau lembaga swasta selaku penyelenggara kegiatan, yang menyatakan bahwa pemohon akan melaksanakan program pemagangan tersebut.
Other Provisions
Foreign nationals without nationality, and foreign nationals holding a travel document other than a national passport (such as a temporary passport, emergency passport, titre du voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, or similar document), must attach a Re-entry Permit for the country where the Visit Visa was applied for, along with a return ticket or onward ticket to another country (except for crew members of a means of transport). The visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. If not used within that period, the foreign national must apply for a new visa to enter Indonesia. Please note that the visa validity period is different from the stay permit period - please check your visa for information regarding the length of your stay permit. Foreign nationals holding a stay permit under the C22 Visa are prohibited from selling goods or services, or receiving payment, wages, or similar compensation for work or business activities from any individual or corporation in Indonesia.
Processing Time & Procedure
Visa applications at the Directorate General of Immigration go through the following stages: completeness check of requirements; verification of immigration fee payment in accordance with prevailing regulations; profile creation and verification; approval; and visa issuance. Processing time follows the working days corresponding to the fee you pay, and processing begins after visa payment is received.
