What is C12 Pre-Investment Visa?
This visa acts as a bridge for foreign investors who want to conduct feasibility studies, market research, or survey potential investment locations in Indonesia before fully committing to setting up a company (PT PMA). It offers a 180-day stay without the need for a local sponsor.

Period of Stay
Valid for a single stay of up to 180 days (6 months). Unlike the multiple-entry D12, this is a single-entry visa. If you leave, you must apply for a new visa to return.

Submission Requirements
- Passport valid for at least 6 months (12 months recommended)
- Proof of funds (Bank statement min. USD $5,000)
- Proposal or statement of intent for investment/pre-investment activities
- Recent color photograph
- Health insurance (recommended)
The bank statement requirement (USD 5,000) is higher than tourist visas to demonstrate financial capability for investment purposes.
Pathway to KITAS
This visa is excellent for the 'setup phase'. Once you have established your company (PT PMA), you can then proceed to apply for an Investor KITAS (E28A) for long-term residency.
