The C1 Tourist Visa (formerly B211A) offers a longer stay option for tourists. Valid for 60 days initially and extendable twice for a total of up to 180 days. Ideal for long holidays and digital nomads testing the waters.

What is C1 Tourist Visa?

This is a Single Entry Visitor Visa valid for 60 days. Unlike the VOA, this visa must be applied for before arriving in Indonesia. It allows for a longer initial stay and offers the flexibility of two extensions, each for 60 days, allowing a maximum stay of up to 6 months (180 days) without leaving the country.

What You Can Do

Tourism and sightseeing. Visiting family and friends. Social and cultural activities. You can engage in non-commercial sports and arts activities. This visa is strictly for non-employment purposes.

Sponsor Requirements

No Guarantor Required - With the new E-Visa system, you can apply for the C1 visa directly without a local sponsor for tourism purposes, provided you have proof of funds.

Period of Stay

Initial stay of 60 days. Can be extended 2 times, for 60 days each time. Maximum total stay is 180 days. After 180 days, you must leave the country or apply for a new onshore visa if eligible.

Submission Requirements

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months
  • Recent color photograph (passport size)
  • Proof of funds (Bank statement showing min. USD $2,000)
  • Return ticket or onward ticket
  • Travel itinerary or proof of accommodation

All documents must be clear color scans.

Offshore vs. Onshore

This visa can be applied for 'Offshore' (while you are outside Indonesia) to enter the country, or 'Onshore' (while you are already in Indonesia) to extend your stay without leaving.

Other Provisions

This is a single-entry visa; if you leave Indonesia, the visa becomes invalid (unless extended/converted properly under specific regulations, but generally it's single entry). You are prohibited from working or receiving a salary from Indonesian sources.

Processing Time & Procedure

Standard processing time is 5-7 working days. Expedited processing may be available. You will receive an E-Visa PDF which you must print and present upon arrival.
