What is B1 Visa on Arrival?
This visa is granted to foreign nationals from eligible countries upon arrival at designated Immigration Checkpoints in Indonesia. It allows for a stay of 30 days and can be extended one time for an additional 30 days at an Immigration Office. It is a single-entry visa, meaning if you leave Indonesia, the visa expires.
What You Can Do
Tourism and recreational activities. Visiting friends and family. Social and cultural visits. Attending meetings, conventions, and exhibitions as a participant. You can also conduct goods purchase transactions. However, this visa does NOT allow you to work or earn money from an Indonesian company.
Sponsor Requirements
No Sponsor Required - You do not need a local sponsor or guarantor to apply for this visa. It is designed for independent travelers.
Period of Stay
The initial stay period is 30 days. You can extend this visa once for an additional 30 days, giving you a maximum total stay of 60 days. To stay longer than 60 days, you should consider the C1 Tourist Visa or a different visa type.

Submission Requirements
- Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival
- Return ticket or onward ticket to another country
- Proof of payment (if applying online/e-VOA)
- Covid-19 vaccination certificate (subject to current regulations)
Ensure your passport has at least one blank page for the visa sticker/stamp.
Special Note
This visa is only available to citizens of countries on the official VOA eligibility list. If your country is not on the list, you must apply for a B211A / C1 Visa before traveling.
Other Provisions
This visa cannot be converted into a Limited Stay Permit (KITAS). It is strictly a visitor visa. Overstaying your visa will incur a daily fine of IDR 1,000,000 per day. Extensions should be processed at least 7 days before the initial 30-day period expires.

Instant processing upon arrival at the airport. If applying for e-VOA online, approval is typically immediate. For extensions, the process at the immigration office usually takes 3-5 working days.
