What is E32B Descendant of Ex-WNI Visa?

The E32B Descendant of Ex-WNI Visa is a self-sponsored limited stay permit granted to first- or second-degree descendants of former Indonesian citizens (eks-WNI) who intend to reside in Indonesia. Applicants may choose an initial term of 5 years or 10 years, extendable online, provided the combined period of stay in Indonesia does not exceed 10 years.

Allowed Activities

Holders may reside in Indonesia and engage in tourism, shopping, and visiting family or friends. Holders may also work, pursue education, or engage in other activities, provided such activities are reported to the issuing immigration office. Family members may accompany the holder if they meet immigration requirements, and multiple entries and exits are permitted while the permit remains valid.

Period of Stay

Applicants select an initial term of either 5 years or 10 years. The permit may be extended online through evisa.imigrasi.go.id, provided the combined period of stay in Indonesia does not exceed 10 years in total. The visa itself is valid for 90 days from the date of issue for the purpose of entering Indonesia.

Specific Requirements

For the 5-year term, applicants must commit to a minimum investment of US$30,000; for the 10-year term, a minimum of US$60,000. Funds may be held as Indonesian government bonds, shares of a publicly-listed Indonesian company, an Indonesian mutual fund, or a deposit at a state-owned bank, with proof submitted within 90 days of entry. Applicants must also provide documents proving blood relationship to a former Indonesian citizen, such as a birth certificate, family card, marriage certificate, or other kinship documentation.

Other Provisions

The investment guarantee value must be maintained throughout the period of stay. Holders must not overstay the granted period, engage in unauthorized work, or sell goods or services outside the scope of their reported activities. Applicants who are nationals of territories formerly part of Indonesia, who held foreign government, military, law enforcement, or intelligence roles, who were involved in separatist movements, or who acted against Indonesia's national interests are excluded.
