What is E31B Spouse of ITAS/ITAP Holder KITAS?
The E31B is a family reunification visa issued to the foreign spouse of a foreign ITAS/ITAP holder residing in Indonesia. It allows the holder to enter and remain in Indonesia for an initial period selected at application, based on a legally recognized marriage to the resident spouse.
Allowed Activities
Holders may reside in Indonesia together with their spouse and engage in tourism-related activities and visits to friends or family. This permit does not itself authorize paid employment; any work activity must be covered by a separate permit issued in accordance with manpower and immigration regulations.
Sponsor Requirements

Period of Stay

- Bank statement for the last 3 months showing a minimum balance of USD $2,000 or equivalent

Marriage documentation must meet the requirements described under Specific Requirements; documents not in Indonesian or English must be translated by a certified/sworn translator.
Specific Requirements
Proof of the marriage must be submitted: legalized marriage certificate with certified Indonesian translation if married abroad (translation not required if the document is in English), or an Indonesian-issued marriage certificate/marriage book if married in Indonesia. The sponsoring spouse's valid ITAS/ITAP must also be provided.
Other Provisions
The visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance; if unused within that period, a new visa application is required. Visa validity is separate from the length of stay it authorizes. Holders may not remain in Indonesia beyond the granted period of stay, work outside the scope of the permit, or sell goods or services. The Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) and Re-Entry Permit are issued automatically once the holder clears immigration at the port of entry.
