What is C8A Sports Athlete Visit Visa (Single-Entry Visit Visa)?
The C8A visa is a single-entry visit visa to Indonesia, with an initial stay of up to 60 days from the date of arrival. This stay permit can be extended multiple times, up to a total of 180 days, and can be converted into a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) with the same sponsor.
Allowed Activities
Allowed: participating in non-commercial sporting activities as an athlete, such as activities held at the invitation of the Indonesian government, international-level sports championships, or activities organized by international sports bodies, as well as tourism and visiting friends and family. Visa holders may receive compensation or facilities for their activities from an individual or corporation in Indonesia.
Sponsor Requirements
All Visas except B1 Visa or VOA are recommended to use Sponsorship as your guarantor in Indonesia. You are free to choose whether to use a guarantor or not. By checking the Sponsor option in your order, you will be legally sponsored by us and you will receive a Sponsor ID / IDiv.

Submission Requirements
- Application letter and sponsor's statement letter
- Valid travel document with at least 6 months of remaining validity before expiry (12 months for travel documents other than a national passport)
- Proof of funds to cover living costs while in Indonesia - a bank statement for the last 3 months, in the name of the foreign national or the sponsor
- Recent color photograph (taken within the last year)
- Invitation and sponsorship letters from the event organizer

Other Provisions
Foreign nationals without citizenship, or holding a travel document other than a national passport (such as an emergency passport, titre du voyage, certificate of identity, or laissez passer), must attach a Re-Entry Permit for the country where the visa was applied for, along with a return or onward ticket. The visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance; if unused within that period, a new visa must be obtained. Please note that the visa validity period differs from the length of the stay permit - please check your visa for information on the length of stay. Foreign nationals holding a stay permit under the C8A Visa may receive payment or facilities for their activities from an individual or corporation in Indonesia, but are not permitted to work under a formal employment relationship.
Processing Time & Procedure
Visa applications at the Directorate General of Immigration go through the following stages: completeness check of requirements; verification of immigration fee payment in accordance with prevailing regulations; profile creation and verification; approval; and visa issuance. Processing time follows the working days corresponding to the fee you pay, and processing begins after visa payment is received. Standard processing time is five working days after the visa payment is received.
