Indonesia C13 Visa: Complete Guide for Foreign Crew Joining a Vessel (Join Vessel Visa)

The Indonesia C13 Visa is a Single Entry Visitor Visa specifically designed for foreign nationals who need to join a vessel or other transportation operating within Indonesian territory.

In addition to joining a vessel, C13 Visa holders may also travel within Indonesia and visit friends or family during their authorized stay. This makes the visa an excellent solution for seafarers and maritime professionals arriving in Indonesia before boarding their assigned vessel.

The initial stay granted under the C13 Visa is up to 60 days from the date of arrival. The stay can be extended multiple times until reaching a maximum total stay of 180 days, provided all immigration requirements continue to be met. Extensions are processed online through the sponsor's registered immigration account.

A sponsor is mandatory for every C13 Visa application. Before applying, the sponsor must have an active account in Indonesia's official eVisa system. The sponsor is responsible for submitting the visa application together with the applicant's supporting documents.

Applicants generally need to prepare:

Passport valid for at least six months.

Recent passport-size color photograph.

Personal bank statement showing sufficient financial support.

Official letter from the government agency or company confirming that the applicant will join a vessel located in Indonesia.

Any additional documents requested by Indonesian Immigration.

After visa fees have been successfully paid, the standard immigration processing time is approximately five working days, although processing may vary depending on document verification and immigration review.

Important information for C13 Visa holders:

Single-entry visitor visa.

Valid for entry within 90 days after issuance.
