## B1 Tourist Visa: Overview

The B1 Tourist Visa, commonly known as Visa on Arrival (VoA), is a short-term visit permit issued to eligible foreign nationals for tourism, social visits, and attendance at non-remunerated meetings or events in Indonesia.

### Key Features

- **Initial Stay**: Valid for up to 30 days.

- **Extension**: Can be extended one time in accordance with immigration regulations.

- **Activities Allowed**: Tourism, short visits, and non-paid activities are permitted.

- **Sponsor Requirements**: No local sponsor is required for this visa category.

- **Processing Fees**:

- **Base Price**: IDR 500,000

- **Service Fee**: IDR 250,000 for standard processing (5 work days), IDR 500,000 for priority processing (3 work days).

### Requirements

To apply for the B1 Tourist Visa, applicants must submit the following documents:

1. Valid Passport

2. Recent Photograph

3. Flight / Return Ticket

4. Proof of Accommodation (hotel booking or address in Indonesia)

## Visa on Arrival (VoA) Eligibility Verification Protocol

The eligibility for VoA is determined based on the traveler's nationality. Only citizens from countries listed on the official VoA eligibility list can apply for a B1 Tourist Visa upon arrival in Indonesia.

### Steps for Eligibility Verification

1. **Check Nationality**: Verify if the passport holder's country is on the official list of VoA eligible countries.

2. **Documentation Review**: Ensure all required documents are prepared as outlined above.

3. **Immigration Screening**: Upon arrival in Indonesia, immigration officers will perform a screening process to validate the traveler's documents and eligibility for VoA.

4. **Approval Process**: If the traveler meets all requirements and passes the screening, the visa will be issued upon entry.

### Special Notes

- The B1 Tourist Visa cannot be converted into a Limited Stay Permit (KITAS) and overstaying may incur fines of IDR 1,000,000 per day.

- Visa applications should be processed at least 7 days before the initial 30-day period expires for extensions.

- Travelers from countries not on the VoA list must apply for a different type of visa prior to traveling to Indonesia.

For successful processing and adherence to Indonesian immigration regulations, always verify VoA eligibility before travel.
