First Registered Digital Sponsor System in Indonesia
PT Indonesian Visas Agency (MYVISA) is the pioneering legal sponsor company in Indonesia to implement the Sponsor ID technology (Smart ID, IDiv, and IDg cards). As the leading sponsor agency operating across Bali, Jakarta, and all provinces of Indonesia, we have officially submitted this identity verification framework as a cooperative proposal to the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration (Direktorat Jenderal Imigrasi) to promote absolute corporate transparency, traveler compliance, and streamlined security operations.

Sponsor ID Activation
A Sponsor ID (Smart ID, IDiv, or IDg) is only issued and activated for clients who explicitly apply for and receive a Sponsorship service from PT Indonesian Visas Agency. It is not automatically issued to every client who purchases a visa service from us.
Sponsor ID Is Active
- Client applies for and purchases a Sponsorship service
- Client checks the "I want Sponsorship" option during visa application
- Visa type legally requires a penjamin (guarantor)
- Client is issued a physical or digital IDiv, Smart ID, or IDg card
Sponsor ID Is Optional
- Client purchases a visa but does not select Sponsorship
- Client uses B1 VoA (self-sponsored short-stay tourist visa)
- Client explicitly opts out of the Sponsorship Agreement
No Sponsor ID Issued
- Client purchases only documentation or consultation services
- Client processes a visa independently (DIY)
- Visa type does not require or support a corporate sponsor
Important Note on Sponsorship Choice
Not all clients who purchase a visa from Indonesian Visas require or want Sponsorship. Sponsorship is a separate, optional service layer. Clients who do not opt for Sponsorship are processed without a penjamin record in our system and will not receive a Sponsor ID card or QR code. Their data is still retained per our standard Privacy Policy for order processing purposes, but no public verification profile is created.
Sponsorship Agreement — Policy Position
The Sponsorship Agreement (Perjanjian Penjaminan) is a separate, standalone legal document — it is not part of this policy page. It is generated, signed, and stored automatically within the application system when a client selects and purchases a Sponsorship service. This policy page defines the rules and rights surrounding that agreement, not its contents.
Policy: Agreement Is Mandatory for Active Sponsor IDs
A Sponsor ID (IDiv, Smart ID, IDg) is only activated after a valid Sponsorship Agreement has been executed between the client and PT Indonesian Visas Agency. No agreement = no active Sponsor ID. The agreement is the legal trigger for card issuance.
Policy: Client Right to Access Their Agreement
Every client has the right to access their signed Sponsorship Agreement at any time. It is available via the client's account dashboard under "My Documents," or through the Second Scan (Private Access) QR using their secure PIN. Clients may request a printed copy at any of our offices.
Policy: Agreement Governs Our Legal Liability
Under Indonesian Immigration Law No. 6/2011 (Article 63), PT Indonesian Visas Agency bears full corporate legal and financial liability for every foreign national under active sponsorship. This liability is documented in the Sponsorship Agreement and remains in effect for the entire duration of the sponsored stay.
Policy: Agreement Is Optional for Non-Sponsorship Visa Purchases
Clients who purchase visa services without opting into Sponsorship do not enter a Sponsorship Agreement and are not issued a Sponsor ID. Their legal status in Indonesia is governed solely by the conditions of their own visa category — no agency liability is assumed.
Separation of Concerns
The Sponsorship Agreement is a legal instrument embedded in our order and application system. This policy page (/sponsor-id-policy) governs the policies and rights around that system — including who receives a Sponsor ID, how their data is handled, and what protections apply. For the full agreement text, refer to your application dashboard or contact our office.
Applicable Visa Types & Sponsorship Scope
Not every visa type processed through Indonesian Visas requires or includes a Sponsorship Agreement. The table below clarifies when Sponsorship — and therefore a Sponsor ID — is relevant:
| Visa Type | Sponsorship Required? | Sponsor ID Issued? | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| B1 VoA / e-VoA (30-day tourist) | Optional | If opted in | Self-sponsored by default. Sponsor ID available as an add-on for extended protection. |
| B211A Visit Visa (60–180 days) | Yes (Default) | Yes | Requires a penjamin. Our agency acts as corporate guarantor. Agreement is mandatory. |
| KITAS (Work / Investor / Retirement) | Yes (Mandatory) | Yes | Indonesian law mandates a registered sponsor. Agreement is a prerequisite for application. |
| KITAP (Permanent Stay) | Yes (Mandatory) | Yes | Full sponsorship agreement required. Permanent record in our Data Center. |
| GCI (Global Citizen of Indonesia) | Recommended | If opted in | Government-level sponsorship pathway. Our agency can co-sponsor for administrative support. |
| Golden Visa (5–10 year investor) | Recommended | If opted in | Investor-grade sponsorship available for full administrative and compliance support. |
| Documentation / Consultation Only | No | No | No Sponsor ID. Standard order data privacy policy applies only. |
Double Scan Verification Architecture
To protect sensitive traveler credentials while ensuring public verification is instantaneous, the Sponsor ID platform implements a proprietary Double Scan Verification System. This structure separates public eligibility checks from confidential records:
First Scan: Public Profile View
Scanning the primary card QR code displays the user's basic, public verification details — Full Name, Nationality, Visa Type, Issue/Expiry Date, and Sponsorship Status. This allows hotel staff, villa owners, and local authorities to quickly verify that a traveler is legally sponsored without accessing any sensitive data.
Second Scan: Private Document Access
Embedded within the first scan page (or the printed sponsorship certificate) is a secondary QR code leading to confidential files — original passport uploads, signed Sponsorship Agreement, and flight records. Access requires a unique PIN delivered privately to the client's registered email/WhatsApp. This scan is strictly for authorized individuals only.
This dual-layer system guarantees total public transparency while maintaining absolute secrecy for private identity documents, adhering to our company policy and the terms agreed upon by each user at the time of Sponsorship Agreement execution.
Data Ownership & Privacy Controls
We believe you own your identity. The Sponsor ID system is designed with user-centric controls while meeting all legal retention obligations:
Who Owns Your Data?
You own your personal data. PT Indonesian Visas Agency acts as a data processor under GDPR and a pengendali data pribadi under UU PDP No. 27/2022. We process data only for the specific purpose of visa sponsorship and immigration compliance — never for commercial sale or third-party marketing.
Is Passport Information Stored?
Yes — for clients who have executed a Sponsorship Agreement. Indonesian Immigration Law (Article 118, Law No. 6/2011) legally mandates that sponsors maintain complete records of all sponsored individuals. Passport biometric data, visa type, and stay period records are retained in our encrypted, access-controlled Data Center for the duration required by law.
How Long Is Data Retained?
Active sponsorship records are retained for the full duration of the sponsored stay plus a statutory 5-year post-expiry audit period as required under Indonesian immigration regulations. Non-sponsorship order data (standard visa purchases) is retained for 3 years for financial audit compliance, then archived. You may request a data summary at any time via our Privacy Policy page.
Can You Delete Your Sponsor ID Profile?
Yes — you can request deactivation of your public Sponsor ID profile at any time. This removes the public QR verification page and marks your card as Inactive. However, internal sponsorship records cannot be fully erased during the statutory retention period due to our legal obligations as penjamin under Indonesian Immigration Law. This is disclosed in full at the time of Sponsorship Agreement signing. Once the retention period expires, you may submit a full erasure request under GDPR Article 17 or UU PDP Article 35.
Privacy Mode
Toggling Privacy Mode from your dashboard masks sensitive biometric parameters (e.g. passport number sequences) and displays your name as SECURED HOLDER on public QR scans — while keeping your Sponsorship Status verifiable. This setting is available in your account dashboard at any time without requiring agreement termination.
Regulatory Frameworks
A. Indonesian Immigration Law (Law No. 6/2011)
Under Article 63 of Law No. 6 of 2011 on Immigration, corporate sponsors are held legally and financially responsible for foreign nationals under their sponsorship. Article 118 mandates that penjamin (sponsors) maintain comprehensive operational logs and records of all sponsored individuals for government audit. For this reason, biometric passport details and active stay data are retained in our secure, internal Data Center for the legally mandated period.
B. EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
For European Union citizens, data processing is lawful under Article 6.1(b) (performance of a contract — visa and sponsorship acquisition) and Article 6.1(c) (compliance with a legal obligation under Indonesian Immigration Law). In compliance with the Right to Erasure (Article 17), you can deactivate your public Sponsor ID profile at any time. While this removes the public verification URL (/verify/[slug]), internal transaction and sponsorship registers are archived for corporate audit per statutory requirements.
C. Indonesian Personal Data Protection Act (UU PDP No. 27/2022)
All personal biographical and identity data collected by the platform is stored on servers with high-grade encryption (AES-256). Data transit is restricted exclusively to HTTPS channels with granular Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Data collection is limited to the minimum necessary for sponsorship processing and immigration compliance. Data is never sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.
D. Indonesian Minister of Law Regulation (AHU-00065.AH.02.01.TAHUN 2020)
PT Indonesian Visas Agency is a registered legal entity under Indonesian law (NIB: 0402260034806). Our Sponsorship Agreement constitutes a legally binding civil contract enforceable under Indonesian Civil Code (KUHPerdata) Book III. All Sponsorship Agreements are bilingual (Indonesian and English) and governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
